About Nubila

Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Dr Bruna Nubila is a highly experienced cardiologist with over 15 years of medical practice, including 10 years specialising in cardiology. She speaks Portuguese and English, with a working knowledge of Spanish. Driven by a desire to help patients feel better and improve their quality of life, she was drawn to cardiology for its strong foundation in evidence-based medicine and its ability to significantly improve patient outcomes.

Dr Nubila graduated in Medicine from the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. She went on to specialise in cardiology at the Instituto Nacional de Cardiologia, a leading cardiac centre in Rio de Janeiro, where she also completed a Master’s degree focusing on cardiac devices and lead extraction. She has worked in both public and private healthcare settings in Brazil and, over the past seven years, has practised within the NHS at renowned hospitals including St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and Royal Papworth Hospital. Her clinical focus is in cardiology, particularly electrophysiology and cardiac arrhythmias.

Known for her attentive and patient-centred approach, Dr Nubila believes that listening carefully and allowing patients time to express their concerns is essential to delivering effective care. She is a member of the British Cardiovascular Society and was recognised with an award for excellence during her cardiology training. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her children, and swimming.
